1. Who we are

Compendro is operated by Emeldron S.L. (Spain), the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy covers the Compendro web app, mobile apps, and browser extension. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact [email protected].

2. What we process, and why

• Your email and account identifier, to create and secure your account and send account and service emails - to perform our contract with you.
• The content you save, and metadata we fetch for it, to provide the read-later service - to perform our contract. To create optional summaries and transcripts, the saved content is sent to third-party AI and transcription providers.
• Billing data, to manage paid subscriptions - to perform our contract.
• Basic error and diagnostic data, to keep the service secure and working - our legitimate interest. Optional session-replay and analytics features run only with your consent.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and on our instructions: cloud hosting and database, a payment provider, AI summarization and transcription providers, an email provider, and a consent-gated analytics provider on the marketing site. Some processing also runs on our own self-hosted infrastructure.

4. International transfers

Your account data and saved content are stored in the EU. Where a provider is located outside the EEA (for example in the United States), the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and saved content while your account is active, and delete them when you delete your account. Billing records are kept for the period required by Spanish tax and commercial law. Diagnostic data is kept no longer than 90 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can export your bookmarks and permanently delete your account from within the app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) or the authority in your country of residence.

7. Children

The service is for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you.
